Year 5 were very lucky to have a visit from Dale and his parrot Nala today for Science Week! We learnt lots about Nala and where she comes from and the children had lots of great questions to ask Dale. We got to have a closer look at her lovely pink and red feathers!

Y4 measured baby Luca, only to find that he has grown 22cm since our last recorded measurements! Luca tried on a wrist rattle and a foot finder sock - he really loved the rattle! Mrs Green brought in some transitional objects that help Luca sleep at night, some of which we had guessed! Another busy, fun-filled session and we can’t wait to see him again 💚 #rootsofempathy

After our visit from Josh Roach of the Belfast Giants, Year 6 were determined to get their 60 minutes of exercise each day! We completed a mile walk after lunch and we're well on our way to our 60 minutes 💪🏻 Mrs McWilliams

Year 4 had a very interesting talk from George Lyttle to tell us about the Story of Paper for Science Week! ♻️ He said he was very impressed with our knowledge.

P6 & 7 were lucky to get a visit from Belfast Giant’s player Josh Roach this week. The Canadian defender spoke to the children about the importance of a healthy diet, exercise and sleep. The children had lots of questions for Josh at the end. We hope to see you on the ice next Friday, Josh!

Mrs Cleland’s Year 3s created their first PowerPoints in the ICT Suite. They had to pick a background, create a title page, add on slides and add in text and photos. The pairs worked really hard together. #carrsglenrocks

Year 7 had a fantastic time welcoming Explore Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast! 🏗️✨ They learned all about engineering before working in teams to design and build their own structures. Along the way, they discovered the importance of teamwork, communication, and creating strong, sturdy designs.
