This week in year 1, our Big Book in Literacy is Owl Babies! The children have read the story and retold it at their tables. The children drew pictures and created a story board, talking through what happens at the start, in the middle and at the end!🦉

It was lovely to celebrate a special birthday with one of our teachers today as Mrs Moore turned 30! Mr Mackay’s class serenaded Mrs Moore with some lovely singing and piano playing. #carrsglenrocks

In phonics, the children have been learning the sound 'n' this week! Our action for this is to spread out our arms like a plane and stretch out the sound "nnnnnn'. Here are the children completing their literacy where they write the grapheme 'n' and colour in the plane! ✈️
