Development Proposal for Nursery at Carr's Glen Primary School
As part of the Area Plan process the Governors of Carr's Glen PS have engaged with Education Authority ~ Belfast to establish Nursery Provision at Carr's Glen Primary School. The following draft proposal has been agreed and is now entering a consultation phase.
'The Education Authority proposes to reduce the enrolment number of Carr’s Glen Primary School from 472 to 420 in line with the schools admission number of 60 and to establish a new 26 place part-time Nursery Unit with effect from 1 September 2017, or as soon as possible thereafter.'
Consultation with parents (please see Newsletter No 523) and staff members has been scheduled for Monday February 8th and subsequent to that will proceed to wider public consultation. This is an important stage for Carr's Glen and indicates the strength, sustainability and support that the school derives from the surrounding community. We look forward to well supported meetings on Monday 8th February and will keep you updated of any further developments.
